Community Ministries

At St. Augustine’s we know that we are changed by God to make a difference for God. As we grow closer to Christ we give ourselves to His people and His work in the world around us. The St. Augustine's parish regularly works together on special mission projects throughout Westerville and Columbus.  In addition,  parishioners individually use their time and talents to minister to the needy and vulnerable in our community through other volunteer organizations.

Come serve with us!

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Mt. 5:7

  • faith mission

Faith Mission is an interdenominational outreach providing food and shelter to families and individuals in downtown Columbus. Every quarter St. Augustine's prepares and serves food to anyone who is in the shelter. Faith Mission provides unconditional kindness and respect to all in need of their help.

  • one meal at a time

The goal of One Meal at a Time is to provide a full Thanksgiving dinner to Columbus families lacking food security. We gather to help sort, pack and move hundreds of boxes of food which will be delivered to our needy neighbors during the holiday season.

  • W.A.R.M.

Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) is a faith-based food resource for families in our community. We periodically hold food-drives to help replenish their food pantry.

  • christmas adoptions

At Christmas time we work with the local schools to identify families whose children have particular needs during the holiday season.

As a church we "adopt" them and try to make their Christmas wishes come true.
