Remembering Our Deployed
Servicemen and Women
St. Augustine's wants to show gratitude and support to those who sacrifice so much to serve their country. For many years we have worked with the Marine Corp Family Network (MCFSC) to send monthly care packages to deployed military personnel. The MCFSC serves families of all military branches, and they organize various activities for those wanting to support our military. The MCFSC believes that our deployed soldiers should be remembered from the day they leave for deployment until they return to U.S. soil. When they receive a deployed individual's name and address, their support starts at that point and continues through their entire deployment. Once a month they gather supplies and pack two care packages per person. These are shipped two weeks apart so that each deployed person receives a care package twice a month. Since 2007, MCFSC has sent over 8,000 care packages.
Volunteers from St. Augustine's help assemble care packages on the second Friday of the month from 6:30- 8pm at the MCFSC headquarters at 250 Graceland Blvd., Columbus, OH 43214. Would you like to give encouragement and support to those far from home? Upcoming events are listed below. No sign-up is necessary. Come serve with us!
