History of St. Augustine's Anglican Church

St. Augustine’s Anglican Church officially opened its doors to the Westerville community on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2012.  However, our church's roots are in a small home Bible study led by the Rev. Dr. Kevin and Dondra Maney. As that Bible study grew, so did the vision. Eventually we joined the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes within the broader communion of the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA). Under the loving care of the Maneys, St. Augustine's grew into a thriving presence in the Westerville area.

In March 2019 we joined the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word under the leadership of Bishop Julian Dobbs. The following year we purchased our first building. After two years of work and renovation, we were able to occupy our new church home. In 2022, Fr. Kevin and Dondra Maney retired, and  we received  the Rev. Jeff Hunt as the rector for our parish.

Over the years we have grown and changed as all families do. We have joined with bishops, priests, deacons, laypersons, adults and children to become what we are today. We owe a world of gratitude to all who have contributed their knowledge, labor, talents and support. Thank you! We look with great anticipation to how God will change us in the days to come. We invite you to join us.
